THE MONDAY LEADOFF

Hi my friend ⚡

Learning from the best doesn't require meeting them. It can happen through absorption: books, podcasts, audio, or one single powerful quote. Feeding your mind is how you become your own best coach.

Jim Loehr said, "The power broker in your life is the voice that no one ever hears. How well you revisit the tone and content of your private voice is what determines the quality of your life."

This voice is the master storyteller; the stories we tell ourselves shape our reality.

How do you talk to yourself when you make a mistake? Would you talk that way to a good friend when they've made a mistake?

It's essential to have high self-standards, but never to drift into unproductive self-talk.

I'm adopting this model for my baseball program. These 6 components are the keys to effective systems, operations, and success. I will build off of this next week.

GUIDING PRINCIPLE:

So much can be accomplished in one focused hour, especially when that hour is part of a routine, a sacred rhythm that becomes part of your daily life.

Don't eat with people you wouldn't starve with.

If we let storms pass and choose to reflect, we come out better than ever. We reach within ourselves and grow.

QUOTE I'M PONDERING

“Withdraw into yourself, as far as you can. Associate with those who will make a better man of you. Welcome those whom you yourself can improve. The process is mutual; for men learn while they teach.” —Seneca

Nothing but the best,

Matt

P.S.
