"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."

I can certainly agree with this quote from Arthur C. Clarke. Growing up, I had a front row seat to witness the evolution of the personal computer. I remember thinking how cool it would be to have a computer be able to talk to me just like the one on Star Trek. My, how times have changed. Now I can't get my various gadgets to shut the heck up. What would my 14 year old self say if she could see my iPhone? What would my grandmother say? Her grandmother? It surely would seem like magic.

Various software, gadgets, and gizmos are all a big part of the writer's toolbox these days. Today on our call, we won't necessarily be talking about technology that talks, but we will be talking about technology. You might have to read through that sentence a few times. :D
