Preorder Update

Hey everyone! Here’s an update for those who preordered the Song of Death and Goddess of Death special editions.

The rewrites are DONE!

After 8 emotional months, both books are in first person and expanded by 20K+ words each. Every sentence has been revised. It took time—especially with neurological Lyme, which affects my entire body (including my brain). Word recall is hard some days, but I’m so proud of how far these books have come.

Print News

I made a huge decision—every page will be full color. Teal paper, mermaid graphics, full-color art throughout. It raised print costs to nearly $21K, so I’m making sure these are absolutely worth the wait.

Health Update

I finally saw a Lyme specialist. After 3 hours and 15 vials of blood, we found I also have POTS, which I’ve unknowingly had since I was 12. It explains so much—shortness of breath, heat intolerance, and why COVID hit me so hard. Turns out, I was never tested for co-infections, so we’re fixing that now. I’m off antibiotics while we wait for results and am starting new treatment, including meds to thin my blood (Lyme can make it sludge-like). For once, I felt heard. Every symptom. Every word. She believed me.

Family Update

After 3+ weeks in the hospital and a week in a nursing home, my mom is finally going home today with a home nurse to finish her recovery from severe sepsis.

Life Update

We moved to our new home near Biloxi, MS—a 5-hour move made harder by timing, but we’re getting settled.
