December is off to a snowy start!

I found a wasp nest in my shed (see last picture) they seemed to have used part of a burlap sack and attached it to a box as well. It was abandon but I found one dead yellow jacket in it and a couple thoraxes. Not sure if I was an attack on another wasp nest or this was a yellow jacket nest. I'm glad it was empty.

Morning steam on the lake and a great blue heron watching it roll across the water.

Jamie the fox just chillin'. Jamie is a cross fox which is a red fox that is a cross phase coat color. If you look down at his back he has a black cross on it. Red foxes with distinct color pattern/coat are refered to by the name of that phase (i.e. red, cross, black, silver)

Unfortunately it doesn't look like we'll be getting snow on fall colors again this year.
