Squirrels, orcs, and Harry Potter!

I got your attention, didn't I? Honestly, I didn't know what subject to choose for this email, so I thought I'd just mash together three things that it will certainly include.
We'll leave the orcs for later (book rec close to the end). Now, squirrels and Harry Potter... You guys, I've just returned from London, where I saw both! Squirrels in St James's Park in London, and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Palace Theater. Both were amazing experiences! I took a lot of pictures, but I'm just going to show you the most important ones.
First, the squirrels. Absolutely adorable, and I'm so sad I wasn't prepared with nuts. But they were still curious enough to climb over the fence and sniff my fingers. Too bad they then proceeded to scurry away, deeply disappointed.
So adorable! This happened this Monday, actually. It was so bloody cold, otherwise I would've spent hours just watching them.
And last Wednesday, it was theater day. My partner and I saw Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in two parts. My favorite bit was when they sent one Dementor over the audience, and it was so eerie and creepy, OMG. We were, of course, not allowed to take pictures during the performance. I got a nice picture of the theater one night before, when the street was blissfully empty.
It was one of the best experiences ever. I will surely visit London again, but not in January. LOL Spring or summer, when I can actually enjoy the city. The reason we went last week was because I attended a writers' conference.
So, it was a good start to the year, no doubt. I met other romance writers, made friends, also spent an entire day at the British Museum. Ate good food, too. Now I'm back home, working on a new project that will launch in March, getting ready for an anthology that will come out around that time, too, and also doing two writing courses. Yay! Busy, busy, but I love it!
I'll keep you posted, but my newsletters might come only once every two or three weeks as I focus on work.
All right, and now the orc romance recommendation! Have you read Savage Orc by Luna Hunter? If not, check it out now! I hope you enjoy it.
They say humans used to be free.
Now savage and brutal orcs rule our scorched world. All us humans can do is serve our green-skinned masters with our hands and with our bodies.
I'm one of the 'lucky' ones for I get to work in the fields, breaking my back to feed the ravenous orc hordes while my people go hungry. No orc has claimed me. Yet.
Until I try to steal some grain to feed my sick grandma and I'm caught red-handed by my worst nightmare.
Chieftain Grimdar of Arogh-Bul.
Better known as Grimdar the Savage.
His name is known throughout all of Attis. Everyone fears him. I think I'm dead meat, but no. The hideous imposing tower of green muscle and deep scars isn't going to kill me for my crimes. It's much worse.
He's going to claim me.

All right, see you soon! How soon, I don't know. But I think the next big thing you'll get from me is the announcement of the project I'm doing with Layla Fae and Eden Ember. We have the covers, we're working on the blurbs, and we might just have pre-orders up sooner rather than later.
Love,
Cara
