Being a technician on the Belua Space Station is a dream job! I get to be a part of something extraordinary, and also top secret. But when I find out that building spaceships isn’t the only purpose of the ring station, things change.
When the Director makes contact with an alien ship and his men capture it, we get our hands on the aliens’ most prized possession – a star portal. Now I’m tasked with pulling it apart and figuring out how it works. But I can’t do it alone. I need answers from the ship’s Captain.
Travak Khator. He looks like a minotaur from the Greek myths, but of course, he doesn’t identify as one. He and his crew have been imprisoned, tortured, and experimented on. The moment I meet him, I know… The star portal doesn’t matter. What we’re doing on the station doesn’t matter. All that matters is to help this hot-as-sin alien escape, and hope he takes me with him.

Unfortunately, this is going to be my only release this month. I had Viridescent planned for August as well, but... I just can't do it. I will have to push the pre-order a bit, and I promise you that it's coming, but it's not ready yet.
Viridescent is also a complex book, and I realized I need to take my time with it. It will be contemporary with fantasy elements, so... contemporary fantasy? It's a genre, I think.
So, realistically speaking, the next orc book coming from me is Uthar the Hunter. I'm hope you miss my Orc Mates! You can hit that pre-order button, because Uthar is coming in September.

Beth Moore will do anything to save her sister. She’s the only family she’s got left in this world, and the thought of losing her to cancer is inconceivable. When every treatment and therapy fails, Beth knows that the answer will not come from human medicine. It’s a good thing that hordes of orcs landed in this world years ago, that they have magic, and Beth has something she can trade for it – herself. She offers herself as tribute, joins an institute for orc brides, and then prays that the captain who chooses her will come to care enough about her to save her sister’s life.
Uthar the Hunter used to be a raider. Now he is a captain, taking over from the late captain of the horde, who treated him like a son. But he isn’t blood, and when the true son and heir shows up with his own horde, a feud breaks out. In the orc world, a rank is not inherited. One has to prove himself and earn it. Uthar will not step down. He will show everyone that he is a true captain, even if that means he has to take a human bride and put an orc baby in her.

Starting next week, I'm taking a 10-day vacation that won't exactly be a vacation. My partner and I are going to a detox center, where we won't consume anything but juices. Fun! LOL No, not at all. But we did it last year, and we felt great after.
I don't believe I'll be able to work much. If at all. Last year, I tried to read, and it was impossible. I couldn't focus.
I made sure to fill my program with spa treatments, and we'll exercise a lot every day too, so hopefully, the activities will take my mind off the fact that I'm not getting any food.
I can do it! And I will return happier and healthier! And eager to write! Wish me luck. Haha!
Okay, well... until next time!
Love,
Cara
