Evie stood before the gargoyle, the stone monster who became her husdand with plans of escaping as soon as she could.

Doing her duty, Evie agreed to the blood test at the marriage temple. The gargoyle stared at her with cold eyes, agreeing to marry a human as a part of his duty. Neither were prepared for the union as husband and wife. Would they bridge the chasm between humans and monsters and make a life? Or would they find their paths going in different directions?

Next week, it will be Wed to the Grendel. A lot of angst in this one, let me tell you. Turns out giants are not... easy. They're quite stubborn, and they can be selfish, and most importantly, they might resist the idea of taking a bride. It was no easy feat to convince my main character that all he needed was LOVE. Haha!

Wed to the Grendel was really fun to write, and I can't wait for you to read it. Make sure you pre-order it, if you haven't already. Or you can wait to read it in Kindle Unlimited. That works too. :)

For my birthday, I get the worst gift ever: a bride.

My kind lives in the deepest woods of Alia Terra. The humans call us forest giants, but we call ourselves grendels, after our ancestor. We live in small communities, and we'd be happy to have nothing to do with humans, except we need... their females.

My brothers are all married, and now it is my turn. I refuse to do it. Human females are tiny, and fragile, and need too much care... I'd rather end up selfish and alone. My brothers say a bride would change me, but I beg to differ. They leave me alone. Until...

She comes out of my birthday cake. A gorgeous little thing, with hair like the sun and eyes like the sea, with a body so delicate that I'm afraid to even breathe in her direction. And I know it's their doing! How did they get my blood to send to the Temple? It doesn't matter. I have a bigger problem now.

What do I do with her?!

Please don't forget I'm writing the last book in the Arranged Monster Mates series - Wed to the Lynx - to donate the royalties to a cat shelter in my city - Oradea, Romania.

Back in February, I rescued a cat that was coming to my backyard and looked sick and hurt, and she introduced me to the world of cat rescuing and cat shelters, and now I'm doing all I can to support these people who are helping cats in my city. The kitty's name is Miu Miu, and today I took her to the vet for her first vaccine. I'm proud to tell you that Miu Miu wasn't scared at all. On April 18th, Miu Miu will go to the cat shelter, too, until she finds her forever home.

I'll do anything to make her believe in us.

I can't survive another mating season without a mate. For a Lynx as old as I am, I should've been mated years ago, but I haven't had the luck to find my one and only in my community. Lynxes mate for life. I know she's out there, and if she's not of my species, then she must be human. So, I send my blood to the Temple and pray they will find my perfect match.

The Temple is never wrong, or so they say. When they find my mate and she does everything in her power to escape me, I'm starting to doubt the accuracy of the DNA test. She's beautiful, feisty, and a little bit shallow, used to being treated like a princess. I need her with all my being.

I'm ready to give her the world in exchange for a cuddle.

*This is a charity book. The proceeds will go to a cat shelter in Romania. They need all the help they can get for their cuddly and not-so-cuddly kitties. The shelter is called Friends of Cats (Prietenii Pisicilor in Romanian).

Until next week,

Cara
