What a romantic Christmas we'll have!

Hey, Wylde-lings! I thought I should drop in today with some news and Christmas romance.

The news is I'm working on Toghat the Vile, and I love it! It's going to be a sweet, romantic story, and I don't know why, but every time I write a snowed-in story, I lean at least a little bit into the enemies-to-lovers trope. I mean, that's the charm, isn't it? That they don't want to be trapped together in a cabin, in the middle of nowhere, and yet... here they are. And they have to make it work.

Don't forget to pre-order it, so it lands on your Kindles on December 26!

She closed her eyes and waited. She was frozen. Couldn’t have moved even if she wanted. If not a heart attack, then hypothermia. Maybe if she played dead, whatever was approaching, snow crunching loudly as it walked, would leave her alone, to die in peace.

She felt something on her back. Then her shoulder. She didn’t move, didn’t breathe. She prayed it would go away. Then she felt herself being yanked unceremoniously, thrown onto her back. She opened her eyes, and through the darkness and howling wind, barely distinguished a figure.

Green skin, dark hair, masculine features. A fur coat hanging off wide shoulders. He knelt beside her, and she saw his dark eyes and the curved tusks that poked out of his mouth.

An orc.

I am fire at its most elemental. Nothing can withstand my heat.

Except her.

Somehow, she’s immune to my touch, my flame. I shouldn’t want her so badly. She’s human, and I’m the next prince of the Fire Realm. Dragons and humans don’t mix. Ever. And certainly not a prince. But the dragon women don’t scorch me the way she does. They’re barely candles next to her wildfire, and I want nothing to do with them. I only want her.

But can I convince not only her, but my rivals for the throne, that she’s worthy of being mated to a dragon? Because I’m running out of time to claim my mate.

The faint jingling of bells is the only warning she’ll get when he comes.

Mr. Jingle has been trapped for millennia, his only entertainment the faces flashing outside his prison, all as indifferent as snowflakes, all as cold.

Until her.

She captivates him. Her smile is as glorious as her tears. There has never been a more beautiful face, a more radiant personality, a more mesmerizing voice. She doesn’t know he watches, so she lets him see everything. Her naked body. Her unguarded soul.

And he burns with passion. He’s been trapped forever, cold and unused to affection, but for the beautiful woman who shines like his sun, he will break the walls of his prison.

Come Christmas Eve he’ll break out and claim her. Because even if she does not know him, he knows her… And all her darkest desires.

And don't forget I have another snowbound novella that I published recently! It's sweet and fun, if I say so myself. And it features a guy with antlers!

Nora

I was looking forward to a cozy writing retreat with my best friend, at a cabin in the mountains, but when a snowstorm hits and the roads become impracticable, I end up alone, in the middle of nowhere. And then the power goes out, there’s no signal, and I hear a knock on my window. With a candle in hand, I look outside, and there’s a blue-skinned man with antlers staring back at me.

Velyan

I never liked the world of humans. I like it even less when I must leave my home behind and I end up in the middle of a vicious snowstorm, and the nearest shelter is a cabin that’s occupied by one of them. I ask the human woman to let me inside, and she answers by blocking all entrances. I soon realize my short exile in the human world is not going to be made easy by the bright-eyed, curvy beauty who denies me everything I crave.
