She only married him so she could kill him...

Hello, my Wylde-lings!
How's creepy October been treating you so far? Any good reads? (Aside from Bought by the Revenant, of course, ahem...) In Norway, so far, October hasn't been creepy at all. We have beautiful weather, and I'm working with the door to the terrace open, and the air is fresh and smells amazing, and I can't believe how quiet it is.
I wanted to let you know that the second book in the Monsters' Bride Market series is live on Amazon today, and also in Kindle Unlimited.
Enjoy Bought by the Void Walker, by Ava York!

I sold myself to a monster so I could kill him.
He bought me to save what’s left of his soul.
They say never meet a Void Walker’s gaze.
I made him look.
Now I’m trapped in his realm of shadows, where silence cuts deep and desire coils between us like fire. He touches like he’s starving. Watches like I’m the last light in his collapsing world.
But he’s hiding secrets—about my sister, about the enemy stalking us both, and about the bond that’s tightening with every breath.
I came to destroy him.
I never meant to crave him.

In other news, I am happy to announce that Bought by the Revenant has been getting amazing reviews, and almost every reader says it broke their heart (yes!), and they cried (woohooo!). Sorry, but readers' tears is what keeps me going. They fuel me and my stories. *evil laugh*
But I promise you that Bought by the Revenant has, in fact, a happy ending, happily-ever-after, it's guaranteed. I promise. It's just that... it's so good that it's sad? That's how I'd describe it.
Make sure you check it out if you haven't read it yet.

Writing this book and reading the reviews made me realize how much I love breaking people's hearts. LOL So, I intend to do the same with my next book, which will release in November. I set a tight deadline for myself because I felt like I needed to binge-write and immerse myself in this story every day, obsessively. So far, so good. I feel like I've created the most complex world for Thing of Ruin, and I love everything about it.
For the next five weeks, I'll be writing every day like my life depends on it. And I just might take breaks to drop some art or a few teaser paragraphs into your Inbox.
Let me introduce you to Rune!

The cell was barely wider than a man could stretch his arms. Stone walls, stone floor, a single wooden bench against the far wall. A thin layer of straw covered part of the floor, pushed into one corner. A bucket sat near the door, tin with a wooden handle. One square window, barred, showing no more than a sliver of gray sky. Safe, at last. His lungs fully expanded for the first time in weeks, and he breathed in the foul air, not minding the stench at all.
To make sure, he walked around the cell, running his hands over the walls, meticulously checking every scratch and dip in the stone, his fingers studying, memorizing, discovering carvings previous prisoners had left behind. Names, dates, a crude drawing of a woman’s face. He traced the mortar between the stones and pressed his palms flat against the cold surface.
Cramped. Contained. Perfect.
He sat down on the straw, tipping his head back against the wall, hands on his knees. His fingers started tapping a rhythm that came from deep within him, from the unknowns of his being, from where the name Rune had emerged when desperately needed.
Until today, he’d only known himself as Twelve. CONSTRUCT-XII had been written on a plaque on his cell door, so they’d called him Twelve. But he knew that was just a number, and people’s names weren’t numbers.
“Rune,” he repeated, and was startled by how low and deep his voice sounded, rough with unuse. “Rune.”
A name as good as any.
Rune who rotted in a rat hole.
