This Agency Life
Agency life has been odd the last few months but we are starting to find our rhythm with remote working and the team are really coming together and going above and beyond to deliver great work.
As the world is on fire, we’re having a harder time with outreach and getting links placed with mainstream publications so we’ve changed tact to more regional and trade press which seems to be working.
The agency is gearing up for a rebrand which is due to launch next month. We’re a completely different company to who we were in 2017, working with bigger brands and more sophisticated processes, so we thought it was time to ditch the overly pally student vibe of our current branding for something more ‘grown up’.
Overall, we are seeing some signs of things starting to return to normal with more new business trickling in and our clients traffic starting to return to normal levels.
Tech I’ve been Enjoying
We’ve started to build out more sophisticated backend operations using Notion, it’s a really amazing wiki, docs, database and to-do tool rolled into one. I’ve been getting into ‘operational design’ and started to use Whimsical to build out our database flows that keep the agency ticking. Hat tip to the amazing Youtube series on using Notion from August Bradley who gets very geeky and in the weeds around operational design.
I’ve also been reading The Courage to be Disliked by Ichiro Kishimi and Fumitake Koga, it’s a meditation between a philosopher and a student that explains Adlerian psychology- highly recommended.
