OFFER THAT GUY
Our take: We knew it wouldn't take long before this 6'2 235 pound linebacker would start to get noticed. CFC100 Jude Buchanan just received his first division 1 offer from Stony Brook University. This British Columbia native has been putting in all the work if you take a look at his twitter. Here at CFC, however, we don't need twitter to confirm what we already knew, he's a hard working prospect with a passion for the game and is willing to go the extra mile. Keep your eye on him as he carries on this upcoming season.

Today Katie Uttley catches up with Ottawa, Ontario native OL Uber Ajongo, who grew up in the United Kingdom playing a different form of footy, but eventually fell in love with the gridiron game after following in his brother's footsteps who landed at St. Mary's.
Catch up with the rest of the episodes HERE
Katie and Uber discuss how he's eager to get back on the field after an extra year and half of training throughout the lockdowns, some of his favourite moments travelling around Ontario with his squad, and how he's taken an interest in the world of business.

SOUTH OF THE BORDER HEADLINES
- Two Canadian offensive tackles transferred to FBS schools this week. CFC100 OT Chris Fournier has announced that he’ll be transferring from Lehigh (FCS), after being a 4-year starter at the school, to Louisiana Tech. The Alouettes 2021 3rd-round draft pick had also received FBS offers from Rice, Toledo, UCONN, WKU, ULM, and Buffalo since he entered the portal back in November. In addition, CFC100 OT Liam Dick transferred from Pitt to Texas State this week, where he’ll join fellow Canadians CFC100s Kyle Hergel and Liam Dobson along the offensive line.
- A couple regulars in this column picked up more offers this week in unsurprising news. CFC60 OT Tyrone Webber grabbed offer #12 from Liberty University, while CFC100 WR Elic Ayomanor tightened his grip on the number one spot in the Class of 2022 offer count race by bringing in his 23rd offer from Cal.
- CFC100 WR John Metchie III was announced as the Cornish Trophy winner this week with 94 total votes and 8 first place votes. In order from 2nd most votes to 6th most, the other finalists were CFC100 Amen Ogbongbemiga (91 votes, 9 1st place), CFC100 Josh Palmer (66 votes, 2 1st place), CFC100 Alonzo Addae (61 votes), CFC100 Chuba Hubbard (44 votes), and CFC40 Alaric Jackson (43 votes, 1 1st place). Metchie has to be the early favourite for the 2021-22 award as he steps into the WR1 role for the reigning national champions this season.
RECRUITING TIP
Most popular questions from recruits this week?
In the world of football there's players, prospects, and elite prospects. Players don't have desire or the skill to make it to the next level. Prospects are on the radar for university scouts in Canada. Elite prospects are the coveted group that scouts dream about signing on both sides of the border.
Bottom Line
Obviously every prospect wants to be in that latter category, but how do you know? Rankings such as the CFC100 High School Rankings or the CFC60 CEGEP/JUCO Rankings are a great indicator for the Canadian football scene, but we know that's just a small slice of the gridiron world. It's impossible to know how great a prospect truly is until he steps on the field with elite competition. ... CONTINUE READING TO LEARN MORE
