Our take: Brampton, Ontario native, Gianni Green, has taken his talents down south for the season. The 6'2" and 200 pound defensive back is another long athlete on the CFC100 class of 2022 rankings. He does a really great job in press and is always in the right place at the right time. You'll see more than a few clips where he picks off the ball and takes it to the house. With his long stride, he gets up to speed and it's see ya. With one offer from Eastern Michigan already on the board, look for him to add as the season progresses. SOUTH OF THE BORDER
- Illinois CFC100 RB Chase Brown had his breakout game of the season, and calling it just that doesn’t do it justice at all. He ran for 257 yards and 2 TDs on 26 carries in a win against Charlotte. On the defensive side of the ball, in a close loss against Texas Tech, West Virginia CFC40 S Alonzo Addae had 8 tackles and a PBU, while elsewhere, CFC100 LB Isaiah Bagnah had 5 tackles and 3 sacks against Nevada in a 10-point loss.
- One Canadian out, another in! Steelers CFC100 WR Chase Claypool was inactive this week with a hamstring injury, but as Panthers star RB Christian McCaffrey was dealing with a hamstring injury of his own, rookie CFC100 RB Chuba Hubbard got to make his first NFL start this week, and he had a solid performance. The former Oklahoma State star rushed for 57 yards on 13 carries and had a couple catches for 14 yards through the air. Rams S Taylor Rapp also registered 12 tackles in a loss to the Cards this week.
- A couple other NFL performances worth noting came in week 3, as Steelers WR Chase Claypool caught 9 passes for 96 yards, seeing 15 targets with Diontae Johnson out and Juju Smith-Schuster getting hurt. Also can’t omit Chargers CB Tevaughn Campbell from this column, as in the team’s upset win over Kansas City he was a key player, registering 4 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, and 2 PBUs.
