OFFER THAT GUY
Our take: At 6'8" and 290 pounds, offensive tackle, Blake Rose, has certainly passed the eyeball test. In fact, our eyeballs may have popped out of their sockets. A true 2023 from Medicine Hat, Alberta, Rose has length, size, and moves extremely well for a big man. He's solid in the run game and his film demonstrates that he's not afraid to get into people...just watch his second clip! Oh, and did we mention that he's a decent long snapper? You can check that on your boxes. And one more thing, if you're from 'the Hat', you ain't backin down from nothing and no one, just sayin.

SOUTH OF THE BORDER HEADLINES
- The hot prospect recently has been CFC60 OT Tyrone Webber. Over the past couple of weeks he’s reeled in offers from Houston, Fresno State, and Utah State. The 6’5”, 290lbs lineman will be playing spring ball with New Mexico Military Institute when the season gets underway in a couple of weeks. Look for him to keep bringing in more offers.
- In FCS action this week, CFC100s QB Quincy Vaughn and OG Kyle Hergel helped North Dakota take down South Dakota State, who was ranked third in the country coming into the matchup. Elsewhere, Idaho QB Mike Beaudry went 22/45 for 296 yards, 2 TD, and 1 INT in a nail-biter against Eastern Washington in which the Vandals managed to take the cake.
- CFC Prospect Game CFC100 LB Edwin Wilson Tara Kolenge released his top 8 schools on Friday. The 6’3”, 225lbs linebacker listed Virginia Tech, Indiana, Boston College, Nebraska, West Virginia, Syracuse, Rutgers, and Howard as his schools of focus going forward.
RECRUITING TIP
Most popular questions from recruits this week?
You should absolutely play multiple position if given the chance. If you're able to play multiple positions, there really are no negatives.
Bottom Line
- Create more opportunities in the future ... A program may not need a running back, but maybe you're the slotback they're looking for?
- Increase your base knowledge of the game ... Many former receivers will tell you playing defensive back is a lot easier when you know what to expect
- Versatility is a buzz word you always hear when recruiting ... Coaches like a puzzle piece that fits into multiple spots
