CFC200 CLASS 2021 4TH EDITION
OFFER THAT GUY
What has good hands, runs good routes, and isn't afraid to go up and win that 50/50 ball? Why CFC100 class of 2021 Chey Charles of course. As a running back, Charles has good vision and will patiently wait for his O-line to do their part so that he can do his. As a receiver, well let's just say there are a few OBJ type grabs on his film...you be the judge. At 6'3" and 210lbs, this Ontario native has a high ceiling and boat loads of potential.
Our take:
- Plays various positions on offence
- Can make plays, has good vision, runs good routes
- Uses his frame extremely well and is very athletic
- @cheyxcharles
TOP PROSPECTS of the week
Katie Uttley catches up with Belle River, ON native CFC100 Class 2022 LB Dylan Simpson, who decided to trade in a set of go-kart wheels for a pair of cleats, and never looked back.
Kato and Dylan discuss his favourite pregame traditions, how he found his love for linebacker after making the switch from receiver, and provides an update on the early days of his recruiting journey at CFC events and down south.

SOUTH OF THE BORDER HEADLINES
- Over the past couple weeks, there’s been some interesting stuff going down in the offer game. Grad transfer CFC100 Chris Fournier has garnered offers from Rice, New Hampshire, Towson, and Maine since announcing he would transfer for a fifth year next year, given the new NCAA rule where players get an extra year of eligibility. 2022 CFC100 OT Jackson McEwan also picked up his first offer from Fresno State.
- In NFL week 10 action, a Canadian had a career day. Eagles linebacker Alex Singleton had 15 tackles against the New York Giants, which is an even higher single-game total than he ever had in the CFL, even in his 2017 season where he was awarded CFL Most Outstanding Defensive Player. CFC100 Chase Claypool also had a solid day, with 4 catches for 56 yards and a couple scores versus the Bengals.
- Week 12 wasn’t the strongest week for Canadians in college football, partially due to 17 total cancelled games, and adverse effects on some top guys (Chuba Hubbard’s been injured the past two weeks and Josh Palmer’s quarterback is simply not good). Some bright spots were CFC100 RB Chase Brown of Illinois with 110 rushing yards and 2 TDs, CFC40 DE Daniel Joseph with 5 tackles and 1.5 sacks, and CFC60 LB Geoff Cantin-Arku with 5 tackles and 2 sacks.
RECRUITING TIP
Most popular questions from recruits this week?
Does my scholarship amount mean I get more playing time? The amount of scholarship money that has been offered is NOT an indication of how much playing time you are going to get in the upcoming season.
BOTTOM LINE:
The BEST players will see the most playing time. Many coaches will tell you that the way to get on the field is to perform.
