...and we met Craig Martelle, founder of the 20BooksTo50k facebook group and conference. This past week was amazing, we not only went to so many wonderful sessions on building a self-publishing business, but met hundreds of authors writing in all the genres. Everyone was so kind, big or small.
I think my favorite session was on themes. I try to tie in themes that would resonate with teens. Self worth, kindness, recognizing manipulation, standing strong in adversity, etc. My husband went to tons of sessions on marketing, how to grow your business and trends in publishing. And each evening there were author meetups where authors of particular genres would get together for dinner and discuss craft and business ideas.
And of course finishing the week off we had a massive book signing author sale with 100s of authors lined up. We had quite a few that loved our covers and my fun magic test that I offer. The conference lived up to the hype and I loved meeting my tribe!
