That's an email I got recently.

It was from a former client telling me how much she hated her business because it "just wasn't working." (We've ALL been there!)

She followed the marketing strategies of someone extremely reputable in the online world...she did everything to the letter. And the clients just weren't coming in. She wasn't making money. She was struggling. She doubted she had even chosen the right niche. 

She was disappointed, embarrassed, and had been seriously doubting that she even had a viable business at all because of that.

Then she said, "I connected with you because I heard you do things a little differently."

YES!!! 🥃

You can imagine the happy dance (you are free to interpret my dances any which way you like!) I did when I realised my snarky little voice is being heard!

She is right, I absolutely DO teach online business differently.

And it's not that I don't focus on all the marketing strategies and tactics.

It's that through my experience of making literally 1000s of mistakes in the online business world and working with dozens of freelancers on theirs, I just see that online copy & marketing HAS to be handled differently now and even more so in the future.

And this is why blindly following random strategies and working on ALL THE THINGS is probably not going to get you very far.

So what is working?

Well, that's what I want to share with you today and I'll get to the point fast because I'm crazy hungry right now and need breakfast. (Eggs, not JD!)

The successful online businesses out there are combining character, connection, and service - and most of us are savvy enough and have been around long enough to spot BS at 1000 paces.
