Cross-Browser and Cross-Device Website Testing

Website testing is an important step when releasing new changes or keeping up with website maintenance.

However, many businesses do not take appropriate steps to effectively test their website across all platforms.

When implementing a new change, you'll likely review the results on your desktop computer and mobile device. This is a great start, but it doesn't cover all of your bases.

Each web browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, etc.) interprets your website a bit differently. This is also the case for different devices (screen sizes).

For example, it's possible that your website may look perfect on Chrome, but it's completely broken on Safari.

Reviewing your site across all browsers and devices is very important when it comes to usability and design testing. If you only test on one browser and device, a large portion of your users may not be viewing your site as intended.

Proper testing can be done manually using your own devices or through a testing tool such as BrowserStack.

You can also use a user behavior recording tool such as Microsoft Clarity to view usage recordings from visitors on specific browsers and devices.
