WHAT ARE YOU TRACKING?

Last week, my darling husband gifted me a smart watch. I'm sure it's his cheeky way of saying that I am getting fat i.e not active enough. Anyway, I took it happily, I was finally going to join the league of people posting the number of steps they took a day - Yay!
So on the first day, I wore it happily and went about my business. At the end of the day, I saw a miserable 2,000+ steps. Ah! Was it not my mates that were posting 10,000 steps daily? This wasn't good at all o!
The following day, I wore it again, and this time, I was consciously moving all around the house. By 3pm, I checked. Just a little under 3,000 steps. Ah. How would I ever get to 10,000 at this rate?
I decided to take a walk. I went to the neighbourhood supermarket (I would usually have sent my maid), I walked round our estate, I walked round twice. By the time I got home, I had completed 6,000+. By the time I went to bed, I had hit 7,000 steps! Yes!!! Much better!
Now what did that teach me?
WHAT YOU DON'T TRACK, DOESN'T INCREASE.
I consider myself a pretty active person. I mean four kids to chase about is not beans. But because I wasn't checking, I didn't know I was doing such a low level of activity daily. Blame it on the lockdown.
It is the same with your goals - whether personal or business.
WHAT YOU DON'T TRACK, DOESN'T INCREASE.
How do you track them? By first writing them out. Setting a goal is the first step to
tracking your progress in any endeavour. I have written a brilliant book called Goal Setting Demystified. It helps you to set your goals appropriately and you'll be on your way to knowing WHAT to track.
This is June and it is the perfect time to set new goals. You know, half year and all?
How do you get the book? Simply refer two friends to my mailing list and you get it free!
Send them this message and have them subscribe here
