DOES IT SEEM LIKE YOU ARE LOSING FOCUS?

Dear Friend,

Welcome to June.

This is the last month in the second quarter, and the first half of the year. As the goal setting queen that I am, this is ringing bells in my head. I am here checking my goals and scratching my head. Wondering if I can find my way back to the tracks planned at the beginning of the year. Wondering if I am not losing focus.....

I listened to a message by Pastor Tony Rapu yesterday. That message was for me. He told of the story from the bible of the official Jarius, who went to Jesus to ask him to come with him to heal his sick daughter. Jesus agreed and followed him. On their way, the woman with the Issue of blood stops Jesus, and pulls power from Him. You know the story, right?

It turns out that when Jesus eventually does get to Jairus' house, the daughter is dead and people are crying. It may seem like Jesus got there late because He got distracted by the woman on the way. But Jesus says "she is only sleeping". He goes on to wake her, to raise her from the dead, to give glory to God - that nothing is impossible with Him.

Now, the crux of the pastor's message was that sometimes you have your goals laid out and you have made plans and you are focused... and the life happens. God throws in a distraction. It is in no way your fault, it just happened. Do not cry and moan. Instead, ask what the lesson is. Sometimes, God wants to teach you something in the JOURNEY.

Sometimes, when you seem like you are veering off your set plans, not due to your inability to focus, but due to life's curves beyond your control; go with the flow. The lesson is in the journey.

This weekend, I wrote my first children's story book. The response from the first few people who have read
