Medic Mastery +1: Strength Training for First Responders

One of the questions I get asked most often is what strength program I would recommend to a paramedic.

There are several great "cookie-cutter" strength training programs out there! I like Starting Strength, Grey Skull LP, Strong Lifts 5 x 5, Reverse Pyramid Training, and several others.

At the end of the day, however, none of these programs is ready "out-of-the-box" for a paramedic or first responder.

In my latest blog article I explore a little bit about what little "tweaks" to a program are important for successful implementation for first responders.

Read more about Strength Training for First Responders on the blog.

Yours in the pursuit of Medic Mastery,

Brendan

P.S. Thank you for the feedback on the first (and maybe last!) Medic Mastery 3-2-1. I will try this simpler newsletter format at a more regular interval instead! The "+1" is a nod to my favourite contemporary philosopher, Brian Johnson, who publishes a "+1" daily. Highly recommended!

I love what you’re doing Brendon. You are displaying leadership, while breaking down barriers and stigma! Keep up the great work. When this pandemic is over, I would love to get together and brainstorm with you.
