Dear,
One area we encourage you to be mindful of in raising boys is comparison.
Sometimes, in an effort to motivate a boy or help him improve, it is easy to compare him with his siblings, classmates, or friends. While the intention may be good, repeated comparison can quietly damage a boy’s sense of self-worth. Over time, he may begin to feel that his efforts are not enough unless he becomes someone else.
Every boy develops at his own pace. Growth is healthier when a boy is guided to become a better version of himself, not a copy of another boy.
