WHAT IS THE BOYS LEADERSHIP ACADEMY ALL ABOUT?

Boys Leadership Academy (BLA) is a hub of learning, grooming, nurturing and becoming for the boy child. We teach and engage boys with activities that will help them thrive in the 21st century. We groom them and equip them with the right and adequate skills to journey into manhood in a healthy and wholesome manner.

We understand the criticality of the times we have found ourselves in the world today and so we have carefully curated a path of learning for boys, touching on delicate and important aspects of their lives and journey into becoming healthy and proper men in life.

We take the boys through three (3) levels of thorough and practical teachings.

At the first level, we take them through different teachings on Puberty, sex education, spiritual foundation/formation, emotional control/intelligence, leadership/responsibility, boy’s relationships with their parents, preventing and overcoming addictions.

At the second level, We extend learning and stretch them into wholesomeness, touching on other different aspects of their lives at the stage they are, including Executive function skills, servant leadership, combating peer pressures, understanding your sexuality, Entrepreneurship and life skills, deepening spiritual conviction, and right use of social media.

Moving on to the third and final stage (level 3), we offer courses such as, Anger management, Academic Excellence, Spiritual growth, Mentorship and Accountability, Understanding purpose, Healthy Masculinity in marriage, LGBTQIA, Financial literacy, Friendships, Feelings and Crushes, Influence of music, Games and the Media.

These courses are carefully selected, with workbooks designed with age appropriate content and 13language to suit Boys within the age bracket of 8years and 19years.

One of the important highlights at the Boys Leadership Academy is the courses we have put together for the younger boys, between age 5 and 8 . They are called champions. We believe in the efficacy of getting them aligned into the right track early, and that’s why we have created courses and workbooks in two levels as well.

Level 1 courses of the champions cohort includes; Body Safety, Energy and Tantrum Control, Building a godly foundation, preventing and overcoming bullying, and my responsibility as a boy.

Taking it further on level 2 of the champions cohort are courses including, health and Hygiene, purity code, Gaming and Animations, Spiritual Blocks, and Identity.

BLA furthermore hosts other engaging programs for Boys, which include;

Kings Academy (An Annual Mentorship program which holds in weekends)

Physical Boot camps are held in different states across Nigeria and other countries across the globe.

HOW DO YOU ENGAGE THE BOYS ONLINE?

We understand that it is a great concern managing and keeping boys attentive while learning goes on especially online. To this effect, we have put together structures that enables us carry every single boy along while learning is on. Our classes holds on zoom, affording us the opportunity to see each boy and engage them in interactions where and when necessary.

We also have workbooks for every course, which helps the boys engage in class while lessons are on and further deepens learning while gaining their attention and focus.
