Happy November 1! This seems to be the date Christmas takes over our lives.

Hallmark style movies pop up on the television and carols begin on the radio.

I have made the decision that we don't start Christmas decorating until after November 11. In Canada it is Remembrance Day and for our neighbours south of the 49th parallel it is Veterans Day. I like to wait until after that to honour the people who fought and to those who gave their lives for our freedom. But you can be sure November 12 it will begin here. My Christmas village is calling my name from the storage room!
