How is it the last month of the year already? I've started my holiday baking, have a detailed holiday gift to-do list, and my calendar is filling up with all kinds of fun things. I hope December is treating you well so far!
Character art reveal!
Without further ado, here's the reveal of the character art I teased in the last newsletter.
I had a few guesses that it was Aaron & Rae (I mean, who doesn't love Aaron with a backwards baseball cap, right?) BUT it's actually my OG couple... Maia & Braden.
When I first started thinking about getting character art done for the Freaking Love series, I asked my friend/fabulous PA Cassie if I should get one with Maia and Braden. As an unapologetic Maia and Braden shipper, she told me in no uncertain terms that I better. 😅
As I've written Braden's story, I've been so grateful I decided to have art made of Maia and Braden because their relationship in its many forms is truly the backbone of this series, and as I get to write snippets of how far they've come, this art is a beautiful reminder of where they've been and the connection they'll always have to each other.
If you haven't yet, you can read the OG Freaking Love trilogy now, starting with First Love (which this character art represents).
And while we're talking about Maia & Braden, here's a little teaser of them (and Hollie) in Wild Love...
“And I’m really happy you’re here,” Maia says pointedly at Braden.
Sighing, he hands over the bag of food. “There’s extra corn casserole.”
“I love you. You’re my favorite ex-boyfriend.”
“I’m your only ex-boyfriend.” He leans closer to me. “She used to call me her favorite baby daddy, but now she has kids with her husband and apparently I can’t compete with that.”
I cover my mouth with my fist, hiding a snicker as Maia sticks her tongue out at Braden.
