Hi everyone, this is the second weekend of InkerCon and lots of classes. I'm loving it so far and I feel like I've learned a lot already. I'm just starting on Book 10 of SOS Hotel and I'm excited to see how it all ends up.
I think I'll start book two of the Milvus series next. I LOVED The Kite so excited to read the rest.
I keep calling Marlon, Gavin, in Digging. It's because Gavin is a character in Camping 101. THIS is why I need my editor LOL. So if you see this just ignore it and know that I do change it when I see it and my editor will no doubt be sending me emails saying WHAT ARE YOU DOING??? LOL.

Rory “Bronx” Alauson and his personal security guard, Tony Cavalari have a bit of an interesting history together. They first met when Bronx was a troubled man in his early twenties and Cavalari was an officer on the NYC police force. Numerous run-ins caused a heavy animosity to form between them – one that didn’t improve with the passage of time.
Fast forward a decade and Bronx has cleaned up his life. He’s living on the west coast and is the new bass player for the infamous rock band, Black Ice. After a few minor security breaches, Black Ice’s management company brings on an additional team of guards to shadow each member. Bronx isn’t happy about this but he hates the intrusion to his personal life even more when he sees who his new guard is – none other than his nemesis, Tony Cavalari.
The sparks are immediate, even though they ignore the chemical reaction and pour their energy into bickering and name-calling. It’s impossible to ignore someone when you’re forced into close proximity with them on a daily basis and with the heat building it’s only a matter of time before it spills over.
The guys in Black Ice are demanding they work out their differences. How can that be accomplished when throwing punches isn’t the way they want to settle their animosity. Their minds are focused on a completely different way to use their hands on the other.
Where there’s sparks you’ll find flames and for those closest to Bronx and Cavalari they can only hope the entire band isn’t consumed by the fire when it explodes into the inferno it’s destined to be.

Clayton has always been a wanderer, never settled in one place or with one partner. He's finally found a home in Lodi where he runs a pub and has made lots of wonderful friends. He still heads out on his bike, however, and on one trip is immediately attracted to a young barista wearing a rainbow bracelet. While enjoying his coffee, Clayton helps Sawyer out of a sticky situation with some customers but Sawyer is fired over the incident. Clayton impulsively offers him a place to stay until he figures out what to do next and Sawyer just as impulsively accepts. We learn that Sawyer is totally inexperienced socially because of the way he was raised, much more about the mystery associated with that as the story progresses, so Clayton takes him under his wing and invites him to Pride Camp to meet other gay campers and Clayton's friends.
It's clear Brina Brady thought long and hard about the activities that would occur at Pride Camp. While we hear about the usual things such as hiking and canoeing we get lots of details about other activities such as Truth or Dare, a scavenger hunt and several sharings of coming out stories that are beautifully designed to let us learn about the characters and that make Sawyer understand how others have dealt with being gay and finding friends and lovers. Many of these sharing sessions occur around a campfire which is a lovely, safe space in this novel.
Clayton and Sawyer's relationship deepens into something real and these two men who never expected to find the one person who felt like "home" find each other. There is a bit of mystery and not all the campers turn out to be good guys which adds a bit of suspense to the story which is a wonderful book to kick off Pride Month with.
