Randy
There I was sitting outside my local coffee shop, enjoying a perfect peppermint mocha, with an extra shot of espresso, when he walked up to order his own drink. Eli Canton. Just thinking his name made my lip curl and my eyes narrow. Sure, he was cute, very cute. With his brown hair always neatly cut, and those deep brown eyes I could barely resist. I shook my head—eyes on the prize, not the cute guy.
“Oh, hey, Randy, I didn’t see you there. How’s everything going?” he said as he turned to me with a bright smile and his stupid beautiful dark eyes sparkling.
“Hello, Eli,” I said without actually looking at him. If I looked too closely, I knew I’d be drawn into those eyes and end up saying things I didn’t want to say. But it was hard not to look, so I tried to peek at him from the corner of my eye.
He’d taken a sip of his drink while waiting for me to answer. His eyes drifted closed, and a soft moan fell from his lips at the taste. I wanted to be that cup so fucking bad right then, and I hated myself for it. And Eli too, mostly Eli. I cleared my throat and tried to look annoyed at the interruption.
“Oh, am I interrupting you?” he asked, and looked at my laptop that was open to a blank document I’d opened just as he walked in.
“Sort of, just trying to get some work done.” Gaa, could I not keep my mouth shut around him?
“Sorry, I’ll leave you to it.” He gave that little tip of his head he seemed to do every time he said goodbye, and without another word he was gone.
I watched as he walked out the door and as far down the street as I could see before the building cut off my view. “See something you like?” my annoying sister Kelsey asked, as she sat down across the table from me.
“What? Are you kidding me? No. He’s not my type at all,” I sputtered out, knowing I probably sounded as guilty to her ears as I did to my own. Her smile told me everything she didn’t say. “Maybe. Gosh, it’s so frustrating. He’s my biggest competition in the Christmas cookie swap, but he’s too cute, and so so nice.”
“Randy, he’s not your competition, it’s just a fun thing. It’s not meant to be a contest at all, just a cookie swap. A chance for our families to get together.”
“I know, but every year I seem to miss out on having the one cookie everyone wants, so this year I’m pulling out all the stops to make sure there isn’t a person in town that doesn’t love my cookies.”
She stared at me for a full minute before she finally blinked. She always was the uncontested staring contest champion. “You realize it’s just our circle of friends who even attends the cookie swap, right? There’s literally no way everyone in town could try your cookies.”
I knew what she said was true, but I’d had the same dream for as long as I could remember. I just hadn’t shared it with anyone before. Someday I wanted to own my own specialty cookie business. Where I could make all the crazy combinations I came up with, sell them around town, and—through a mail order option—sell them to the world. Or at least to another state.
“Look, little brother, to me you’re the greatest cookie baker of all time. You know it’s true. But if you want people outside the family to try your cookies, you’ll need to get them to more than just the annual cookie swap. Like maybe you could offer to sell them here. We’re always looking for new items to add to the menu.” She nodded toward the front counter and all the different pastries they already offered.
I tried to imagine my coo coo cookie clusters, or peanut butter kisses alongside them, but—I couldn’t. The daily judgement on something I held so dear seemed something so horrible, I couldn’t force myself to sell them. I’d tried several times, and every time I had them baked and ready to package, I just couldn’t do it. I wasn’t sure why.
Her hand on top of mine brought me back to the moment. “I know it can’t be easy to share something you created with everyone. But I’m not lying, your cookies are the best.” She smiled before rushing back behind the counter again.
Maybe she was right, she probably was. But something still held me back. That was a conversation for another day though, because right now I needed to figure out what would be my signature cookie for this year. Through the years I’d tried many. Some were old classics that I didn’t change at all, others were my own spin on a classic. This year I wanted to combine salty and sweet, maybe a little crunch. I tapped out a few more notes, and by the time I’d finished my peppermint mocha I had an idea for my cookie.
I’d start with a chocolate chip cookie, then I’d add crushed pretzels, and some chopped up pieces of chocolate covered caramel. Of course, they’d be oversized and gooey in the center. Enough to share if you were willing. Someday I’ll have someone to share them with. Oh, maybe peppermint would be better? Brown eyes the color of chocolate danced across my memory. Eli. The boy I’d known for as long as I could remember, and was always nice to me no matter how horrible I was to him. I really was an ass.

Randy Miller wants nothing more than to make a living selling the fantastic cookies he dreams up when he’s not working as a web designer. He’s always loved baking, but he’s afraid of taking the leap from hobby to business. Mostly he’s afraid of failing, and of Eli coming up with a better recipe.
Eli Canton has a crush. A big crush on someone who avoids him whenever he can. Eli loves everything about Randy, even if he’s grouchy and seems to work way too much. Eli knows he’s not all bad and hopes to have a chance with him someday.
A broken oven throws the two of them together, and even though Randy doesn’t want to admit it, he likes the time he spends with Eli. And Eli definitely can’t wait to spend more time with Randy. Now if only they can make it past the annual cookie exchange and possibly Valentine’s Day to their own sweet happy ending. #smalltown Romance, #opposites attract, #MM Romance

An Italian mobster raises three sons, but Sal’s youngest son, Benito Banetti, is gay. His father would never permit Ben to be in an openly gay relationship. But Ben intends to change that when he finds the man he wants. When it turns out the man Ben’s been seeing is a Banetti family enemy, his father gives him an ultimatum. Either he marries his cousin and all is forgotten, or if he chooses to be with Mishka Chernov, a Russian mobster, he will disown him.
Mishka Chernov took over his family’s business out of love and respect for his father; however, he has come to realize he isn’t suitable for this top position in the family. Mishka meets a beautiful man at a sleazy bar, and when he finds out who this man is, he still wants him regardless of the problems Ben Banetti would cause his family’s business. Mishka wants the same freedom and separation from family business that Ben has.
Without Respect is about two men raised by mob bosses, realizing their families are enemies, but neither is willing to walk away. This story is book one of a MM romance that follows their relationship. It has some D/s and light BDSM elements.

BL Maxwell
https://mybook.to/ABeachFarAway
Ryan Stone can’t wait to put his toes in the sand at the famous Bondi Beach. When he arrives after a flight that was far too long, and having not slept or eaten, all he can do is stare out at the beautiful expanse of white sand and blue ocean in awe. And when a blond guy asks him to play footy, he agrees, even if he doesn’t know for sure what that is.
Ollie Hughes thinks a day at the beach is just what he needs to take his mind off work. When he sees the cute but rumpled guy sitting by himself in the sand, he’s drawn to him. The more time they spend together, the less he wants the day to end. They end up spending a few days together, those few days turn into weeks, and neither is ready for their time together to end.
A lot of chemistry, and a little bit of luck make for an interesting day at the beach that both men are reluctant to end. Time and distance could be their biggest obstacle, but maybe some things are just meant to be. #meetcute #vacationromance #mmromance
