Hi everyone! This week I finished Green Eyed Boy and sent it off to my wonderful editor Anita! Here's a little unedited sneak peek.
This is after Lance and Billie have worked all day together in Lance's food truck.
“Let me take a quick inventory and see exactly what we need. Did you think today’s menu was enough or should we change anything?” I didn’t know Billie well, but it was very obvious he knew the business.
“I think the menu is perfect. You could always add a desert, but to be honest, I don’t think you really need to. Then one of the other trucks that specializes in that gets a chance to make some money too.”
I pointed my finger at him to emphasize my words. “I love how you think. That way we’re in a good groove for tomorrow. I was worried about adding something new and having it mess up our rhythm.”
“We have a rhythm?” he asked with that fucking smile, and a shine of mischief in his eye.
“Well, I—fuck, you know what I mean.” What the hell was wrong with me? That smile and those green eyes would be my undoing. Add in the fact he was a hard worker and knew the business I’d spent most of my life perfecting, and the more time we spent together the harder it was for me to ignore said beautiful eyes and smile.
