“I-I’m sorry, I didn’t mean—” He stepped away, putting some space between us.

“Link, if I’m being honest, it feels right. I’m just so confused. I never in a million years thought you looked at me like this.”

He blew out a breath and slowly moved closer again. “You really don’t remember anything about last night?”

“Nope,” I said with a pop. And I really didn’t. I knew more had happened, but I had no idea what that was. “Is there something you want to tell me about?”

His eyes locked with mine and he grinned while he shook his head. “I think I’d rather let you figure it out.”

I reached for his belt loop and this time it was me that pulled him closer. “So, tell me this, was that our first kiss?”

He made a motion of zipping his lips and throwing the key away. “I’m not saying anything.” He glanced toward the door as the first few chords of a guitar played. “Let’s go inside.”

“Wait! I want to talk a little longer.” I actually hoped if we stayed out here, I could convince him to tell me more about what I didn’t remember.

“I want to dance with you again.” He grinned and kissed my cheek, and in that moment, I knew I was fucked as I reached up and covered the spot he’d kissed.

“Wait, we danced?” He turned and smiled as he pulled me back into the bar and right onto the dancefloor. Blair and Jase smiled, and she gave me a thumbs up. What was going on? Everyone seemed to know a hell of a lot more than I did. She rolled her eyes and went back to dancing. Link pulled on my hand and didn’t waste any time resting his hands on my hips as he started to dance.
