What is the appeal of collaborating on a story?
This is my first co-authored book and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole collaboration experience. Writing can be a lonely solo pursuit, which at times suits me fine, but it was refreshing to have someone to work alongside. It was also hugely motivating. Plus, as the saying goes, two heads are better than one!
What's next for you? Anything new you want to try your hand at?
I’m currently working on the Four Packs series (more books and some peeks at Zander and Marrok, yay!) plus I’m working on my solo books. I hope to bring out 3 new books this year, plus I still have a handful of books that used to be with a publisher to re-release. The next one is about a troubled relationship and a tsunami, so keep an eye out for Riding The Waves.
If you were to recommend one book to a reader who has yet to try your work, what book would you recommend and why?
I guess my recommendation would depend on the person’s reading preference, but I do have a soft spot for Rustic Melody and it’s been a fan favourite. I think part of the appeal is the Australian setting.
Tell us a little about Zander Kingston from The Slow Death and what makes him tick.
Zander has always lived in the shadow of his older brother who was tragically killed. Zander now has to fill his brother’s role as future leader of the pack, and he feels immense pressure from the expectations placed on him. Luckily he has the support of a good man in Marrok, who helps bring Zander’s true leadership abilities to the fore.
