Hi everyone! I just put the finishing touches on Blinding Light, and I cannot wait for you to meet Rory and Kai! Here's a little sneak peek just for you!

Rory

The kid that had brought our food had put some kind of spell on me. As soon as he walked in, he was all I could focus on. He was so beautiful. His perfect nose, lightly freckled pale skin framed by dark curly hair that looked like it did whatever the hell it wanted to do no matter what he tried.

“Rory,” Liam said, and snapped his fingers in front of my face. “I was asking when you think you’ll have the song finished.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll have it done in time for us to use it at Rocktoberfest.” Glen slapped me on the back and went back to finishing his food, while Easy and Liam leaned in close and had a quiet conversation of their own.

Everyone had someone, except me, and I wasn’t sure why, but I really longed for the kind of relationship they all had. Glen and his wife got along great. She helped when she could, but mostly she was in charge of the kids, and she was a fabulous mom that made sure they were busy and happy.

I’d seen Easy brood around for years, and since he slept with pretty much anyone who made it close enough to him to have a conversation, I was shocked when he and Liam ended up together. Even more shocking was the fact they waited until after that first tour to have sex. It was no secret what happened when we got back to the rented house. They barely made it to the bedroom, and I’ve never been so thankful for noise cancelling headphones in my whole fucking life.

My eyes met Easy’s, and I couldn’t hold back a smile. I wasn’t sure he could imagine what I was thinking, but I didn’t care. He knew how much I loved them both. They were great together, and I couldn’t imagine either of them ever finding someone more perfect.

“What are you thinking?” Easy asked, surprising me.

“Nothing, just going over ideas for the song,” I lied. But then it hit me, and I scribbled down a few lines. Hey that’s not bad. I read them back before scribbling down a few more.

“Faded Dreams? I like it,” Liam said.
