Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Here's an ARC!
Dec 31, 2024 11:31 pm
Hello,
All you beautiful people who signed up for the Star Crossed ARC.I finally have one to share with you! I wanted to get this to you months ago, but this year hasn't exactly gone as planned. It's been a good one, just crazy busy. I have not been in the same location for more than 4 months.
A year ago, we buried my dad after a difficult battle with pancreatic cancer. He lasted longer than most, but oh, how he suffered. He passed in early December, which meant we had to wait weeks to bury him due to the holidays, which just prolonged everything.
This past year we've spent traipsing back and forth between Maryland and Arizona, downsizing two houses with generations of family stuff in them (plus I have a farmhouse in Illinois with even more stuff!) I'm also homeschooling two kids (one with autism.) So, a bit busy, but still so good. I'm thankful to have time with my precious mom, who is also a writer, and thankful for the time I had with my dad, who read everything I wrote. This book is dedicated to him, and explores fatherhood, parenthood, and so much more. I hope you enjoy it.
Anyhoo, this book is big enough to double as a weapon, just like the last one. Star Crossed is a 152,000 words! I feel like I just ran a marathon and my brain hurts. But I love the end result and am already working on the next one.

Instructions:
- Download: Click on the pic above or click here, then type in your email address when asked, and download in epub or mobi versions.
- Device: Need to put it on a Kindle or to a Kindle App on your device? You can upload it to your kindle library on this page. (works great with Kindle app on Ipads, phones, computers, laptops, etc.)
- Feedback: I welcome any and all feedback on this tome of a book. Spelling errors, plot problems, your impressions of the story, the characters, the location. What's working, what's not. After looking at it for so long, I can't always "see" my mistakes. The more eyes on it, the better.
- Email: Send feedback to hugh@blackkatseries.com
- Goodies: For those who send helpful feedback, I'm happy to gift you a free copy of the book at your store of choice. Just let me know which one.
- Reviews: If you'd like to leave an honest review of the book, please do! It's just been released (today) at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Google Play, and Kobo. It'll be up on Apple and a bunch of smaller stores next week.
- Glossary & Maps: There are at least 50 new Ellandrian words in this book, so I've moved the growing glossary to the website. I'm also working on better maps.
- Content warning: There are scenes depicting the Supers responding to 9-11 in this book (yes, I went there) at the beginning of Part V. If that's not for you, skip over them.
Thank you so much for your support, and for stepping up to help me get these stories out and to get them right. Next up: Black Kat VII: The White King. It's on preorder, but the release date (Feb 15th) will probably be pushed back. There are 17 books in this series, which spans 3 generations of Supers. I hope you'll stick with me. It's going to be a wild ride!
Love of love,
Kimberly Gordon
P.S. If you don't have time, totally forgot, and/or are no longer interested in this project, no worries. Just delete the email. I'll have review copies up later that you can do when you have time, or not. Whatever works.
