The Village Recovery Grant

Deadline: May 31, 2021

Amount: $10,000

The Village Recovery Grant will provide $10,000 of working capital to at least 10 storefront businesses impacted by COVID-19. Grant recipients may be either currently operating or planning to open a commercial storefront lease in the area of Manhattan bounded by the south side of 14th Street to the north side of Houston Street, between the Hudson and East Rivers. Applicants must have annual revenues less than $5M, fewer than 10 locations and fewer than 50 individuals on staff are eligible to apply. Applications close May 31.

2021 Facebook Community Accelerator Program

Facebook is accepting applications through May 31 for the 2021 Facebook Community Accelerator Program, and the company has committed up to $7.5 million in funding to the initiative.

The eight-month program will provide selected community leaders with funds, mentorship and training to invest in initiatives that extend the positive impact of their communities.

The Glossier Grant Program for Black-Owned Beauty Businesses

Deadline: May 27, 2021

Amount: $50,000

The goal of this Program is to help drive meaningful change in the beauty industry by supporting Black-owned businesses with capital, advisory support, and amplification.

In addition to receiving a $50,000 grant, each of the 10 businesses selected for this Program will receive six months of advisory support from relevant team members at Glossier and amplification via Glossier’s channels.

They’ll be assessing applicants on three main criteria:

  • Purpose: The inspiration and purpose behind your business and the impact you hope to achieve both for your customers and the broader community
  • Differentiation: What sets your brand and products apart from others in your category
  • Business Plan: Your plans for business growth and how Glossier’s Grant Program will help you achieve your goals

Walmart Local Community Grants

Deadline: December 31, 2021

Amount: $250-$5,000

Local Community grants range from a minimum of $250 to a maximum of $5,000.

Eligible nonprofit organizations must operate on the local level (or be an affiliate/chapter of a larger organization that operates locally) and directly benefit the service area of the facility from which they are requesting funding.

Reclamation Ventures SUMMER 2021 IMPACT GRANT

Deadline: June 11, 2021

Amount: $5,000

This Summer, RV Fund is providing ten unrestricted, non-equity grants of $5,000 to transgender, gender nonconforming and gender diverse leaders making wellness more accessible in their community.

This is the second of four Impact Grant rounds available in 2021.

The Power Forward Small Business Grant

Amount: $25,000

The Power Forward Small Business Grant program aims to create a lasting impact through the economic empowerment of Black-owned small businesses across New England. Through a joint commitment of $1 million, Vistaprint and the Boston Celtics are teaming up with the NAACP to award transformative grants of $25,000 on a rolling basis. Through this initiative, grant recipients will have opportunities to be featured on national co-branded platforms along with receiving marketing and design resources customized to their specific needs to help their business grow and thrive.

Qualified applicants must be Black-owned small businesses with 1 to 25 employees and be based in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, or select areas of Connecticut*. Applicants should be able to demonstrate the impact their small business has on their greater community and showcase how they intend to use the $25,000 grant award.

Society of Family Planning Research Fund Invites Applications for Emerging Scholars in Family Planning Grants

Grants of up to $4,000 will be awarded to grassroots movements advocating for justice and liberation and groups working on the frontlines of change.

The Black Press Grant Program

Amount: $10,000

The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) will provide grant funding directly to support freelance reporters and producers at Black-owned media outlets through the “Black Press Grant Program.” The program is supported by a $300,000 grant from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI).

The grants aim to help ensure Black-owned print, broadcast, and digital outlets are resourced with original and innovative coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic, the coronavirus vaccine, and/or its intersections into the nation’s K-12 education system.

Journalists and those within Black-owned media are invited to submit original proposals for investigative, feature, enterprise for a single or series of original stories published/broadcasted in Black-owned media. Fast grants to freelancers and Black-owned media will be up to $10,000.

Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Awards

Fueled by Purpose™ Micro Grant Application

Since launching in 2018, My Founder Story has donated more than $200,000 in grants and services to womxn. Applications are now being accepted for Fueled by Purpose micro grants.

We’ll announce the next $500 grant winner on December 1, 2020 on social media. Follow My Founder Story on Instagram and Facebook for the official Fueled by Purpose micro grant winner announcement.

To qualify for a Fueled by Purpose micro grant, you must be a womxn business owner who is a legal resident of the United States, and 18 years of age or older. Sundance Institute | Stars Collective Granting Fund.

Submission deadline rolling through July 16, 2021

Both Starlight and Sundance Institute share a deep commitment to supporting artists from historically marginalized communities. Tapping into an initial fund of $200,000 provided by Starlight, this new program will provide unrestricted grants, ranging from $1,500 - $10,000, to diverse filmmakers working in nonfiction and fiction. The grantees will be chosen by Sundance Institute staff and an external committee from a pool of applicants currently receiving creative and tactical support through Institute programs. The non-recoupable grants will focus on critical development support as well as urgent needs in advancing projects forward through pre-production, production, post-production, and self-distribution.

Applications will be open on a rolling basis, allowing filmmakers to apply for support when needed.
