Dear ,
Yesterday was monumental in terms of our Space Defence Strategy, because NASA demonstrated how to deflect an asteroid (which is in trajectory towards Earth) from its path by impacting it with a spacecraft.
Yes, we just Ka-boomed an asteroid!
DART (Double Asteroid Redirection Test) will be the first-ever space mission to demonstrate asteroid deflection by kinetic impactor and celebrating this, NASA is inviting your child to become a Planetary Defender (one day, they might be renamed to be called as Avengers!).
Take this simple quiz and get a beautiful certificate. Check out the link here - https://dart.jhuapl.edu/Planetary-Defender/
Please do share the link with your friends and family!
And do check out the World Space Week Celebrations planned from Oct 4 - 10 at Space Science Learning Club here - www.learnspacescience.com/wsw2022
At the cost of a personal pan pizza (Rs. 199), you can give your child an experience they will never forget and inspire them towards a life filled with scientific thinking and acumen.
See you again with the list of activities for the Space Week Celebrations!
Regards,
Learning Coach
