What to do when your meta portfolio gets disabled?

image

Few things are as frustrating as opening Meta Business Suite and seeing that your portfolio has been disabled without any clear explanation.

It happens more often than people think, especially to small businesses and new ad accounts.

The first thing to know is this:

A disabled Meta portfolio does not always mean you did something wrong. Sometimes it’s triggered by automated checks, incomplete verification, payment issues, or sudden changes in account activity.

Here’s how to approach it calmly and correctly.

Start by checking Account Quality inside Meta Business Manager. This is where Meta usually tells you why the portfolio was restricted. It might be for policy issues, verification problems, or billing concerns. Don’t guess. Always check here first.

Next, review your business verification status. If your business details are incomplete or documents were rejected, Meta can disable parts of your portfolio. Make sure your business name, address, and documents all match and resubmit only once. Multiple submissions can delay the process.

Then check billing and payment methods. A failed charge, expired card, or unpaid balance can trigger a disablement. Clear any outstanding balance and add a valid payment method before requesting a review.

If everything looks fine, submit an appeal or review request directly from Business Manager. Be clear and honest. Simply explain that you believe the restriction is a mistake and that your business follows Meta policies.

If your portfolio has been disabled and you’re not sure what caused it, don’t panic and don’t guess.

Getting expert help early can save you weeks of stress and lost sales.
