I set out on a crazy experiment recently. Wanted to find out if I can get a really good deal on a bicycle.

I wanted an awesome bike at a stupidly low price.

Not just any bike, but a Brompton (sort of).

I never really considered a folding bike as a viable option until not too long ago. I had a bad experience, where I spent 50 minutes worried about my bike being stolen while I was shopping.

This is when it occurred to me that a folding bike might not be that bad of an idea after all.

• You can take it into any store
• You can take it with you on public transport
• You can store it under your desk in the office
• You never have to lock it up outside again! Forget about the lock!
