Simple Joys

Good day,

Did you have a good day today? If not, then I hope your reading this email will change that😉 (but please read until the end!)

Allow me to briefly introduce myself to you. I’m Cathy- a 24-year-old teacher, the second daughter of seven children and I find happiness in the simple joy of watching the sunrise in the morning.

How about you? What are your simple joys? Don’t forget to delight in them every now and then, okay?

These days in pandemic haven’t been easy on any of us. Truth be told, things have really gone bad for many people around the world. But hey, there have also been great and many stories of heroism, kindness, and love around us.

Perhaps you have heard of the community pantry that started in your town or learned of a friend who found employment or rejoiced at the news of the healing of a sick loved one. Whatever good news that has come your way, I rejoice with you! Let’s celebrate! (prudently, of course).

Let’s celebrate life, the fact that you and I are still miraculously alive today; let’s rejoice in the small success we had getting up this morning, and let’s look forward to the better days ahead that are, honestly, already here! People are receiving their vaccinations, new innovations are sprouting here and there, and not to mention (shameless plug!) the Theology of the Body workshop Love Rediscovered launch successfully last month with about 50 passionate people from across the country learning that they are a gift!

In the session 1 of the course, we discovered that being a GIFT to each other makes it possible for us to share our life with the people around us. In the Theology of the Body, G.I.F.T. is an acronym that stands for Good, Irreplaceable, Free, and T means to love.

G stands for Good and you and I are good. We’re all good.

So believe me, everything is going to get so much better. If not now, then in God’s time. Let us not forget it-- God Himself “looked at everything He had made and found it very good! (Gen 1:31).

That includes you and me, my friend.

We are part of that everything. Never doubt! We have a loving Father who is Goodness Himself and we are everything to Him.

Looking forward to hearing from you about anything good you’d like to share with us at Beyond Kilig. Please don’t be shy to send us a reply through this email 😊

It was a pleasure meeting you today!

-Cathy Z.
