, it's holy week.
What is in your mind and heart?
Do you tell God everything? Whether in prayer, in the form of a plea, a long sigh, or in tears?
I want you to know, (just as I remind myself too) that even if we're not in the best disposition of loving Christ --- distracted, feeling distant, cold, lacking in trust, feeling angry or hurt, or even in the state of questioning if we love Him and vice versa, He remains to be with us.
This is what the crucifix reminds me of.
That no matter our sins, our brokenness or how we may have treated God in the past, He still embraces and loves us. That was the behavior of Christ when He was mistreated. He still loved.
Who likes to suffer, go through shame, dark times, be in an emotional state and in distress? No one.
Christ chose to go through the immense suffering.
Perhaps He wanted to meet us there too, in our suffering, pain, and in what troubles us.
He embraced the cross. He did it for you and I.
I sometimes imagine that we are His cross that He embraced. So for sure in whatever we go through, that suffering or "cross" we have, He embraces us there as well.
This is called the unity cross/nuptial cross. This holy week we commemorate the moment when the "nuptial mystery" is consummated by Christ on the cross. It is also the birth of the Church. There's definitely so much going on.
So much meaning and depth to dive into God's love found in the cross.
It's explained here:

Have a fruitful holy week ahead, .
Let's pray for each other!
Kind Regards,
