Hey there ,

Sometimes, it's nice to look at old writings an look at the progress. I'd love to share this with you,

One thing rejection and perfection will tell you is that failing someone else is bigger than failing yourself. The person you owe to show up for is you and you alone. Once you start to do that, It will get easier to show up before others.

It’s easy to say, “Love yourself first,” but here are some practical first steps:

  1. Focus on keeping your commitments to yourself, even small one-step achievements, like drinking enough water or spending a few minutes working on a hobby.
  2. Rest in the fact that those small achievements are enough, and give yourself space to be proud of your accomplishment(s). After a while, you will build habits that further your progress.
  3. Write your accomplishments down if you can; try not to write them on social media. This allows you to 1) have something tangible to track your progress and 2) time for your inner voice to grow louder than the thoughts and opinions of others.

Sometimes, we reveal ourselves to the world prematurely and set ourselves up for unnecessary pressure. In these instances, it is best to move in silence.

UPDATE

It’s been a year since writing this and working towards my own self-confidence journey. It’s not been perfect, but I see loads of progress in:

  • Looking at myself in the mirror with a smile
  • Take up day trading as a stream of income
  • Reading regularly for my spiritual and mental growth
  • Have a daily routine that benefits me and my family
  • Become more consistent in my writing
  • Publish two cookbooks with more on track to be released
  • Grow a fund to help others
  • Spending time with God for myself
  • Post content more regularly(creating has never been a problem)
  • Weight training 3 Days a week

As a person who is naturally results driven, it has taken an incredible amount of patience, prayer and self grace to get to this place, with no clear “destination”. There's beauty in it because those around me may see my gains, but it’s not a necessary factor in my success. I hope these tips motivate you to start or continue your journey of personal growth and progress over perfection.
