The last TikTok Ad I supervised generated:
- 62.6k views.

Yet, brought in less than 100 leads.

An hour after the TikTok influencer posted the video. It crossed 2,000 views.
However, despite the sharp increase in the number of views.
The amount of leads generated remained less than 10 within that period.
Upon investigation, we discovered that the "link" on the influencer's bio was the problem.
Immediately, the "WhatsApp link" was substituted with a "taplink" then a "landing page link".
Yet, no progress was made.
The campaign eventually ended with poor results.
I'm sure you must have at one time or the other encountered the same.
"Your link" at a time must have misbehaved.
Which can be frustrating.
Because this results into waste of money, time & energy.
However in this email…
I'll discuss potential causes of this "link issue" and possible ways out.
Then, let's get into it.
Drum rolls,🥁🥁🥁🥁
First off, let's discuss the various link types used in TikTok influencer marketing.
1- WhatsApp link
2- Taplink
3- Landing page link
After that we can address the common problems associated with each of them & discuss a way out.
- Common problem with WhatsApp link and possible solution.
Problem #1:
- Link taking too much time to load.
Remedies:
- Accept faith. It's a glitch from TikTok.
- Substitute with other available links.
Problem #2:
Redirecting users to download WhatsApp even though…
... the app is installed on their device.
Remedies:
-Substitute with a taplink or a landing page.
-Remove words that suggests "make money online" from your WhatsApp welcome message.
For example:
- "Hi Benson, I want to access your free report on how to make money online" ❌
- "I want to access your exclusive business training"
- Common problem with "Taplink

Problem #2:
- Inability to complete action…
Using the WhatsApp link on the taplink page.
Remedies:
- Include your phone number on the taplink page.

Should the WhatsApp link on the landing page misbehave?
Introduce an optin form.
After which, when the form is submitted. It automatically redirects people to your WhatsApp DM.
TikTok Ads > optin form >> WhatsApp (Your WhatsApp serves as the thank you page)
Let me add that.
Wamation [Google what that means] is the best alternative to all the "link" types highlighted above.
In conclusion, I've only discussed a few problems here.
There are more…
And I'll be discussing them in my next twitter space today in the next 1 hour.
