Which is the reason for today's email
You see as an email marketer they're certain types of emails that are always going to kill it.
These types of emails never go out of style.
Story-based email / emotional type email:
These types of emails are based on a story that is intended to draw out an emotional response from whoever reading it.
These types of emails work because people relate to emotional stories.
They see themselves in it.
For example an email I wrote in the Financial niche.
Subject Line: Confessions of a dying Fx investor
Preview Text: This valuable lesson can change your life.
Contrarian type email:
It means contrary to popular belief.
These types of emails are based on going against a popular belief in the market.
For example…
Most email marketers believe your subject line is the reason you get a high or a low open rate.
But that is not the case, studies have shown that the major determinant of whether people Open your emails is the From Name.
I would write it like this…
Subject: Why SL are dead in 2022
Curiosity-based email.
As the name implies these types of emails are meant to do one thing.
Make your reader curious enough to open your email and curious enough to click the link in the email.
For example
From: coffee poops
Subject: Add this to coffee or tea to eliminate constipation
Another example for a Financial newsletter
Subject: 10X Bigger Than Amazon, Apple, and Google??
The Topical email
For today sake,
I want us to focus on this last type of email.
These are the types of emails that are based on current happenings in your niches or market.
They are based on trending events.
If you could recall some few months back Elon musk was close to buying Twitter.
All the emails you'd have gotten back then were relating to that.
Or when Fg finally reinstated Twitter.
Or when Will Smith slapped Chris Rock for insulting his wife.
These are the types of emails based on what is happening in your audience Market at the moment.
Because this event is currently happening already It is in the mind of your reader
All you have to do is write an email about what is trending then transition it to a pitch including a Call To Action.
After reading this email go back and read a couple of emails you find the perfect example of what I'm talking about.
Any copywriter who knows their salt would be sending you these types of emails.
