Can you tell if you're moving closer to your goals?
Aug 30, 2023 4:45 pm
At the beginning of this year, just like me, I’m sure you had goals.
Some call it New Year's resolutions.
“This is my year of greatness!! This is my year of ultimate success!! This is my year of financial breakthrough!!”.
I’m sure you must have seen lots of that.
The gist is; that year is almost coming to an end.
You might be expecting me to ask that...
“How many of your New Year goals have you achieved so far?”
Because that’s the sort of question you get at this time of the year.
But that’s none of my business.
Not because I don’t care about you, your business, or your growth.
But I understand the dynamics of the “Nigerian factor”.
And how It affects every Nigerian.
Who knew a liter of petrol would be selling for 600 naira this time last year?
Or would you have predicted the cash scarcity we experienced during elections?
Things that have never happened before happen every time in Nigeria.
That’s the sort of country we have found ourselves in.
So let me tell you this today…
It’s okay if you’ve failed to hit any of your “new year goals”.
It’s perfectly normal;
- If you didn’t win that sales challenge…
- If you didn’t hit that income goal…
- If you didn’t qualify for that trip…
It’s okay!!! Stop beating yourself up. You’re not alone. Nigeria happened to everybody.
Again, my mail today is to tell you ONE THING.
No matter what you’re going through. You’re not alone. We are plenty.
By the way, I made a thread earlier today. A valuable one at that.
But so far, It has only got 2 retweets.
I would be lying if I said this feedback hadn’t plundered me into self-doubt.
Put yourself in my shoes.
Will you be happy if you’re not been appreciated for a work you did for FREE?
I’m not even asking people to give me their money.
A like & retweet is all I’m asking you for.
That thread took me 3 hours to put together.
Yet, people are not showing it love.
Will you please take a second to like & retweet the thread? Yes, please. I would appreciate that.
Thank you.
Here’s the thread
