3 reasons your TikTok ads creatives keep getting rejected

Apr 25, 2026 1:57 pm

It’s 5am.

While many people are still asleep… You’re up. Shooting TikTok videos for ads you planned to launch today.

Videos done. Edits done. Everything looking clean. You even gave yourself a small pat on the back.

“Finally… this one will work.” Next step?

Turn on the ads. Sit back. Watch the leads roll in → which turns into sales → which turns into money in your AZA.

In your head, you’ve already spent the money. You’re already picturing that six-figure alert.

Then you launch. You go back to sleep… expecting to wake up to a flooded DM. It is now 10am. You wake up. Pick your phone. Check your messages…

Nothing. Not one message from your supposed new leads. “Network maybe?” You turn airplane mode on and off. Still nothing.

“Wait… did I even turn on the ads?” You check. You did. But something else happened. Your videos were rejected.

Not 1. Not 2. But 5.

All for the same vague reason: “Your video has been found to violate our guidelines…”

No clear explanation. Nothing you can actually fix. If this has happened to you before…

You’re not alone. I’ve been there. Nothing is more frustrating than launching ads and seeing: “Review not approved.”

Meanwhile, it’s your creative that got rejected. And most times? They don’t even tell you exactly what you did wrong. Just one useless automated message.

So now you’re stuck…

You don’t even know what to change. And even if you try again, you already know what to expect: Another rejection.

But after running tons of TikTok campaigns over the past 12 months… I started noticing patterns.

Here are 3 reasons your TikTok ads creatives are getting rejected:

1 - You’re making strong income claims

If you’re in the make money online space, you need to be very careful.

Saying:

“You will make ₦100,000 monthly” is a fast way to get rejected.

Instead, soften it:

“You can earn online” “People are making money with this”

Small tweak. Big difference.

2- You’re using trigger phrases

Phrases like:

“No experience needed”

“No capital required”

“No risk involved”

I know you’re using them to attract attention… But TikTok sees them as red flags. And once they flag your video, approval becomes difficult.

3 - You’re showing money (even indirectly)

Holding cash. Editing money into your video. Flashing alerts.

All of these can get your ad disapproved. Even if the rest of your video is perfect. I’ll stop here for today.

In my next email, I’ll break down more things that silently kill your TikTok ads before they even start.

But before that…

If you’re tired of wasting money testing ads that never even go live…
