Dear reader,

The other day I was playing Dishonored (if you haven't heard of it, go check it out) and I was just absolutely swept up in the lore. It's this greasy, steampunk world filled with plague rats and whale carcasses and corrupt theocratic despots. All kinds of gritty, Victorian nonsense. But then it also has this whole other eldritch layer to it, with an apathetic trickster god serving a chaotic presence that randomly blesses people with terrifying powers.

Sounds sweet, right?

Anyway, while playing I was like "Dang this is an awesome aesthetic. I'd sure like to read a book that feels like this. Someone should write that book."

Well, I quickly remembered that I was an author and started doing some outlining. Now, I am pleased to announce that I am four chapters and 13K words into said book. More updates will follow, I'm sure.

In other good news, I got some sweet covers for my series Daughters of the Storm. Book 1, "Kindred Straits", should be dropping sometime this summer.

Daughters of the Storm is a prequel series to The Sum of Ages, but I intentionally wrote both to be solid stand-alones, so feel free to start wherever you like.
