Dear reader,

When you first start writing, your expectations are very, very wrong. At least mine were. I dreamed of cozy weekends spent typing in coffee shops, or a mahogany desk piled high with manuscript pages and character dossiers, or maybe the clack of an actual typewriter because I'm pretentious enough to pretend it actually makes a difference to my "creative process."

I didn't expect hours fighting with page numbers.

Bloody page numbers...

But alas, that's just how some months of writing play out: formatting paperbacks, double-checking edits, and trying to persuade Microsoft Word not to randomly add extra pages after section breaks.

Bloody MS Word...

Obviously, Sum of Ages Book 4 (Waning Haven) is being formatted for ebook and paperback. We got it back from our copyeditor and it's in the final stages before we get it to you. If you'd like to apply for an advance reader copy, you can apply directly through my publisher or on Story Origin if you have an account there.

In other news, I'll be featured in The Wheel Reads podcast on October 29th. It's a show for Wheel of Time fans and by Wheel of Time fans. I will fit right in.

Also, to all my eastern Idaho peeps, don't forget about the Idaho Storytellers Summit on October 17th at Rigby High School. I will be giving a lecture on the art of revision and participating in a panel on how to actually buckle down and finish your stinkin' book. Should be fun.
