Lots of love to my fellow West Coast USA Book Club Members.
If you or your loved ones live in the path of the wildfires that are absolutely ravaging the West Coast of the USA, please know you are in my thoughts. Many of my friends and family across the Pacific Northwest and in California have been forced to flee and evacuate from the many fires we have going. As I sit here and create this newsletter, it looks like the setting of an apocalyptic novel outside. The sky is orangey-grey, the air is thick with smoke and ash, and there is a hint of bonfire smell in the house no matter how many ways I try to seal the windows. My family is grateful to be safe in our current location but our hearts go out to those in the path of the fires. A huge shout-out to our firefighters and first responders from all over the West that are working together to get these fires under control. They are incredible and we are grateful.
Stay safe out there, Book Club. It’s scary.
