It’s a new year. How’s everyone doing?
It’s been awhile since I sent out a newsletter and I apologize for going radio-silent on y’all. I hope everyone had a peaceful holiday season. The last part of 2020 seriously kicked my butt. Between my day job, managing distance learning for my kid, writing, managing my business, holiday stress and just general living through a historic period of time fatigue…. Oof. It took a lot out of me and I am still working on trying to make that better. To all of you that have followed my journey, read my books, and just hung out with me this last year: Thank You. 💓
But. Here we are. It’s officially 2021 and it appears our living through a historic period of time remains. I’ll be honest -- I shredded a 2020 calendar in a kind of impromptu fit of closure and rage on NYE. It was kind of awesome. #noregrets I’m as ready as I’ll ever be to face this next year. I have some great things planned this year: two new series that will be rapid released, a handful of co-writes, and a Super Secret Project that I will be telling you about soon.
Today I am THRILLED to announce a co-write between C.J. Vincent and I in a new Contemporary M/M Charity Anthology that benefits an organization near and dear to my heart: The Trevor Project.

My hands are actually shaking as I drop the phone on the counter and rest my elbows against the cool granite.
Oh. My. God. Tristan is single. He is single and he’s coming here to stay while he regroups. Cue major freakout starting in three…. two… one…
I’m torn between my desire to get in my car and beat the everlasting shit out of his stupid, pompous ass of an ex, Matt, for cheating on him or ordering an Edible Arrangement to have delivered to him for fucking up so badly that Tristan finally saw that he could do better.
For three long years I’ve stood by and watched as Matt slowly crushed Tristan’s spirit with his insane jealousy and ridiculously pretentious habits. For God’s sake, Matt even banned pizza from their condo because “adults don’t need pizza.”
I hate that the dipshit hurt Tristan, but no one needs that kind of negativity in their life. Good riddance.
Placing the order for pizza delivery and knowing Tristan’s favorites gives me a perverse sense of joy. Take that, bitch.
Quickly, I run through the apartment and pick up the clutter. Tristan doesn’t actually care, he’s seen my place a million times before, but this feels different. I want him to feel welcome. I want him to stay. God, how I want him to stay.
Have you ever wanted something so badly you can actually taste it? It’s not merely a mental craving or acknowledgement of desire. It’s something deeper. More profound. It takes over your whole fucking body.
It’s like… when you wake up in the middle of the night and you know you have to eat something. It’s very specific. Maybe it’s the funnel cake from the fair. When you wake up, you can already taste that crispy sweetness on your tongue. You can hear the echoes of the fair ringing in your ears, the loud cacophony of noises.
You can smell the grease, and you have to fight the urge to wipe your hands off on your jeans. The jeans that don’t exist. For the funnel cake that isn’t available. You mourn it, this lost craving. Your whole body rebels against it. It doesn’t care that it’s three a.m. on a Tuesday in January and the fair isn’t even in town. It cares only for the thing you want; the funnel cake.
I feel like that all the time, except I’m not craving funnel cake. I’m craving Tristan.
