Dear All
The second and final Out and About Concert is coming up next Sunday! Thanks and congratulations to those taking part - it really is a wonderful way to close the season. For those of you who want to go to listen, tickets are £5 and available on the door.
Our NEW Young Composers’ Competition 2026 is being launched over these next few days. We are so excited about this initiative. It's planned in conjunction with our Bedford Sinfonia Teenage Composers' concert with Carolyn Sampson singing. What an opportunity for Bedford's young composers, the audience and Sinfonia! We will be sending out information to teachers and schools next week.
Ian received lovely feedback about the musicians who played for the Rotary Concerto Masterclass. Here’s one message from Imogen’s Mum:
“Immy and I wanted to thank you for the amazing opportunity with Bedford Sinfonia. It was her first experience playing with an orchestra and she loved it! The orchestra was fantastic, we couldn’t believe they were sight reading!
Many thanks and please pass our thanks on to all those superb musicians!!”
Next Season Updates: Some Reminders
Recruitment for BSO is ongoing as we go into this final run up to the summer: we need more first violins and double basses! Thanks so much to those of you who are recruiting actively - you're doing a great job!
At these end of year concerts and events, it's the perfect time to spot a violinist or a double bass player and see if they would like to join us!
Rehearsals, events and Committee Meetings: the BOS calendar 2025-26 is now out. I saw that only 16% clicked on the link last week - please do download it as it will give a good idea of the whole season ahead and it's actually quite pretty, for a calendar!! I'm quite proud of it!!!

Sinfonia concerts and instrumentation: Section Fixers will have received information from Ben Phillips. Please note the deadlines for replies. With many thanks!
Have a great week!
With best wishes
Ann
