One of the advantages that a company has over an enterprise or business name is that is stands as a legal person before the law.

what this means is that it is a separate legal entity from you as the owner and has rights, duties, and obligations.

With such powers, your registered company can become a director in another company.

in the same token, your registered company can actually become the secretary in another company.

If this interests you, then here is how to make a limited liability company to become a secretary in another company...

1. From the Registration portal under the secretary field, You will be required to select whether the secretary is an individual or a corporate.

2. Select "Corporate then fill in the RC number and the name of the company.

Please note, Emphasis is on the words "RC numbers" which means only an Ltd liability company can actually function as a secretary to another company.

A business name, Enterprise, or venture cannot be a company secretary to another company.

3. Next, you will need to supply a representative's phone number, email, means of Identification etc.

This is important because even though the Company is an artificial person with all the powers of a natural person, it must still act through human agents.

This is another advantage that a Ltd liability company has over a business name or enterprise.

If you don't want to use a company as the registered secretary you can still use an individual as the secretary.
