The Green Isles

Two weeks in and I want more.
Ireland has been wonderful and it's odd to realize I've already been here for 13 days. That being said, the wedding was wonderful. Here are some pics of them.
As you can see her dress was gorgeous, and my brother doesn't have bad legs. Snickers. Then it was to Dublin. So far I've done the Giants Causeway and the Book of Kells. That place gave me library envy and I can't imagine all the work that went into that book. I mean can you even imagine that as you library?
Everything else is going fine, but I should have packed more sweaters. Ireland is windy and it drops the temperature a lot. I've already bought one sweater that I LOVE and I keep telling myself I don't need anymore cause I live in Georgia and would only wear it like 3 times a year. Sigh. I want all the sweaters. Up next is Belfast, a tea bus, and some more distillery tours. I can't wait.
If you are looking at a way to support indie authors here are two Kickstarters going right now, both fully funded, so you know you'll get the awesome stories.
Check out Gravesinger. Book 1 in a new world that will suck you in and make you crave more.
And the amazing Shami Stovall has the new Firth Collection out. Get books 4-6 in this gorgeous new compilation.

Grief can drive strange choices some times and those you let in when you're hurting don't always have your best interest at heart. But what if the person comforting you, might be the reason you need comfort? Check out My Meth.
Then, just because I forgot to close out the swaps, you get a third one! A free short story - Human Nature. Just how invasive are these weird life forms?

Hefting up the skull in her hand, Siobhan stared a it, pulling up the thick oily magic of necromancy. It crept over her mind and soil, leaving a residue that made mud and slime seem clean, but some prices were paid without question when the need was great enough.
Hers was.
"Ancestor, your child calls on you. Vengeance is needed. The blood of your children soaks the ground. Their lives extinguished like a candle in a storm. I am all that remains. Come to my call and extract the price the Coliktia demand." The bodies of her clan lay around her, everyone dead, by her hand.
The skull floated in the air, the head turning to stare at her. "You dare, when it was your hand the slay them all, even down to the babes?" There was no anger from the voice, a simple question.
"They knew the price for what I ask. They paid it. I am the last and the hand of the vengeance." Her voice carried as little emotion as the skulls. Her price was that she had to live to see their vengeance carried out.
"What calls for this vengeance?"
I inhaled, the taste of blood coating my tongue and nose, reminding me of what I'd done. Of the price I would pay. "We were chased off our lands, the all women between 10 and 30 were taken, our livestock taken, the heirlooms of our people given to us by the gods gone, and a curse put on those of us who remained to die with no more children ever." The words fell from her lips, weights she could finally release.
The skull floated, then when Siobhan had thought all blood on her hands was for naught, it spoke.
"Vengeance shall be taken to the fourth degree. Say the name of those we shall punish."
Hunger, anticipation, need rose in her as she spoke the words. "The Church of Light."
