So Many Neat Things!

It was a trip I'll never forget or regret. We saw animals, I met amazing people, and I visited a part of the world that has a beauty so different from North America. I was there at the end of the rainy season and it had been super rainy, which means the place was greener than it has ever been. Victoria Falls was so full that it was like standing next to a fire hydrant.

I went without a poncho, I mean who cares about a little spray. Umm... yeah it was like walking in a rainstorm for an hour. See soaked to the skin.

The falls were so full they looked like this.

But only a year ago it was like this:

Obviously a huge difference.

That was in Zimbabwe. From there we went to Zambia for two nights, then we headed to Botswana and Chobe National Park. There we did an amazing river cruise and saw SO MANY HIPPOS!!

But by far the most AMAZING part was the game drive we did the next morning. That was where this happened.

I actually have a video of the entire pride walking directly toward us and I was chanting to myself "You can't lean over and pet them' and trust me, they were so close I could have.

You can see the video of the lions on Facebook. And the caracal jumping on this post.

I don't know that anything can top that. I'm home now after 2 days of travel, one lost bag, and being stuck on an elevator. But Monday is around the corner and I have stories to write. I hope you enjoyed the pictures. I know I might be talking about this trip for a long time.
